Morning Praises: Eternity with Christ

Post written by Raymund Tamayo

“Here is a trustworthy saying: If we died with him, we will also live with him; if we endure, we will also reign with him.” 2 Timothy 2:11-12a
Life on earth is temporary. It is only a blink of an eye compared to eternity. Can you imagine spending eternity with Christ? Indescribable.

All the hassles, hardships, and heartaches I face here on earth turns into nothing when I think about spending forever with the Lord.

The Apostle Paul knew what he was talking about when he told Timothy, his disciple, to endure and persevere. Paul was a prisoner in chains when he gave this message to Timothy, and that didn’t stop him from fulfilling what God has called him to do.

Faith in God fuels our endurance. We can endure anything and embrace all the opportunities that lies before us with the knowledge and hope that we have eternity through Christ. Everything that happens now is preparation for that infinite moment.

You may not realize the depth of what I’m saying right now because you don’t know Jesus Christ that well. I challenge you to get to know Him more and see it for yourself.

A student once asked Bonaventure, the medieval Franciscan teacher, "Why don't men love God more?" And he answered, "They don't love him because they don't know him."

My prayer is for you to know Christ more - Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace, King of kings, and Lord of lords – and that your heart will be taken by Him, the Son of God, who sets people free.

“What a love! What a Savior! What a gift! May our hearts be open to receive Him, may our faith be ready to trust Him, may our wills be surrendered to obey Him, may our feet and hands be committed to follow Him, may our faces be anointed to reflect Him, may our actions and attitudes be righteous to honor Him, and may our voices be uplifted to praise Him…now and forever.” – Roy Lessin
