"Then Gideon built an altar there unto the Lord and called it Jehovah-shalom." Judges 6:24“Shalom” is much more than a casual social greeting— it is a prayer, a blessing, a deep desire, and a benediction. It is a word that is packed with the full blessing of God. In Hebrew the word has many significant meanings throughout the Scriptures. The following blessing is a compilation of those meanings.
